I wonder if you could tell, now, whether it would be possible for you to come to us for our monthly lecture, in line with letters previously sent on September 4th and September 18th? You could take your choice of January 9, 13, 14, 15 or 16. The lecture is before the entire body of students and teachers, and comes at 11.30 in the morning. The honorarium is $50.00.
You will remember that you can leave Chicago in the evening by the Lake Shore, getting in here early in the morning, and return by the 8.20 train in the evening, reaching Chicago at 7.10 the following morning.
I do not need to tell you how exceedingly glad I am always to have our students have the opportunity of hearing you, and I do not like to let any college generation, at least, pass without your speaking to them.
My wife and I hope that you can be our guest at the time if you find it possible to come, as I trust you may.
