800 SOUTH HALSTED STREET
My dear Alice
I think the time for the sale [as?] in Mr Marvin's letter are all right and I shall be very grateful to you if you will make out the [interests] [etc?]. I am only a little afraid that we ought not to have an agent who is so close a friend to the renter but perhaps that is all right.
I am of course a little disappointed that the $20000 offer did not come out, but after all I am now just where I was before. You have been awfully good to me [page 2] about it all and I hope I am not imposing on you --
Please excuse this pencil. I have been at Waukegan all day & am too tired to pen a line.
Always your loving sister
