March 27th, 1923.

Dear Miss Hamilton:

We did slip up in regard to Miss Addams’s going on the peace ship and in view of what you write will make a correction, although you evidently have not seen the paragraph in question. It was a tribute to her.

I was present when she decided to go and that was what threw me off. I forgot that she was kept by ill health from going. I thought her attitude superb.

Cordially yours,

Oswald Garrison Villard [signed]

P.S. -- I enclose the paragraph in question.
