Dear Mrs Karsten

The statement you [enclosed], now seems to me so good that I would like to have it sent to Congress, to both chairmen of Foreign Affairs Committees of [illegible] and then published in the newspapers. Perhaps you can leave matters on train for it at the office if the replies for the other Ex-Com members are favorable. Hastily yours Jane Addams

[written in left margin and, perhaps, stricken] P.S.

Please tell Mrs [illegible name], Mrs Warden that I will be back Sept 4th [illegible words] are made at the door -- J. A
