My dear Miss Addams: You will pardon me, I hope, for presuming to make this inquiry with reference to possible lecture and organization work with the Peace Federation during the coming summer.
I have been deeply interested in the peace movement, and had the privilege of hearing your address in Cleveland recently. I am doing some lecture work for the Cleveland League and we expect to establish a branch league in Painesville.
My graduate work both at Michigan and Columbia universities included International Law, under Ex President Angell and Professor John Bassett Moore respectively, and the other subjects in which I was especially interested were History, Political and Social Science and Comparative Government. During the last year or two I have been lecturing on Suffrage and on various Social Problems, in addition to my regular college class-work. [page 2]
If you feel that my services as lecturer or organizer might be of any value to the Peace Federation in general field work this coming summer, I should be very glad to furnish any further information or any references that might be desired.
