My dear Mr Levinson --

I thank you very much for your generous check to our slowly growing account!

I am sure there is a very large contingent of our membership who would be ready for your proposal versus the League of Nations plan. I am sending it in to our Phila. branch whom I am sure would like to propose it to the National Section. I will also keep it up my sleeve for the International. [page 2] I am sending you a sentence from an old speech of mine showing [our] reason why the suppression of war is not sufficient but an international body must propose other functions as well.

May I call you up some day before I go, and once more express my appreciation of your kindness.

Faithfully yours

Jane Addams
