Dear Mr Kellogg

Thank you very much for the [enclosed] letter. We are constantly getting cables about the food situation in Germany, prisoners in Siberia and other matters which the Europeans think we are much more generous than they -- while in reality it is the reverse. The [enclosed] petition came yesterday from Holland -- the most futile of all, I am afraid. All good wishes of the Season to you.
