Dearest Lady

I am bestirring myself to collect the remainder of our fund for the International Congress. It certainly looks as if we might need it at last.

I hope we can get the actual cash up to $15000.00 at least. Do you think that there is a ghost of a chance for passports? not now of course but after the armistice has been arranged?

There are so many things I [page 2] want to talk to you about, I am most impatient for the end of Nov. to come when I speak for [illegible] Ely.

Always devotedly yours

Jane Addams

Nov. 1st 1918

P.S.

Will you drop a note to Mrs Amos Pinchot for her fifty dollars. We have written to all the other subscribers of uncollected amounts.
