My dear Miss Addams:

I am writing to ask if a number of former members of the Massachusetts [Woman's] Peace Party can be [members of] the National [Woman's] Peace Party? There is no attempt to form [page 2] any insurgent organization, of course, but quite a number of women cannot longer be a part of so un-peaceful a body as this "League for International Justice." All that it had left was its name & now that is gone we feel we must tie up to a less [page 3] wobbly an organization.

I hope the last good reports I heard of you can still be believed. I had an invitation to go to a peace conference in Stockholm to be held this [June]. It is signed by Mayor Lindhagen & Betty von Bugge. [It's] good to know some people still believe peace is an object to be worked for!

Always yrs
