My dear Marcet

I imagine you settling down in the five rooms and being as busy as possible. We leave for Bar Harbor next Tuesday, June 20th, and to my bitter disappointment, I am not to be allowed to go to Cedarville before then. I am sending my list to Mary Fry. I hope the announcements are en route.

Do write me a line please get a sec'y as soon as possible to help with the [association] work [page 2] for there is nothing harder than being pulled in too many directions at once! as I can testify. With best love to you, Dear, and to your dear husband, I am always devotedly yours Jane Addams

P.S. I am showing an open mind by addressing this letter [as] Haldeman, I qualify it by sending it to the bank!
