My dear Miss Cadwallader:
Your letter addressed to Miss Addams has been referred to this office, and I am sending you under separate cover some material which we have for distribution. I regret that most of this does not bear very directly on the question you have in mind, but I believe that you may find a good deal to the point.
I am including in this a recently published bibliography by Dr. Mez on Peace Literature of the War, which may be helpful to you, and also the lists of publications of the American Peace Society and the World Peace Foundation. I would like to call attention to Miss Addams' recent Hearing before the House Committee on Military Affairs which gives so well the position of the Woman's Peace Party.
I am [enclosing] in this letter a copy of our Constitution and Congressional Program in the hope that you may be interested in the cause of peace in general and may be willing to urge the formation in the University of Wisconsin of a Branch of the Woman's Peace Party. Last week the newly appointed President of the University of Chicago Branch of the Woman's Peace Party call in the office to talk over the plan for the work. She is hoping to have a large mass meeting on the School Peace Day, the 18th of May, a meeting which will be really a good one and not a perfunctory observance of the day.
