Dear Lady

The first draft of the book seems so queer now that it is put together that I think I shall have to repent me and not let you see it until later.

I am so glad that Edith Abbott is going to have the little time abroad and I am awfully sorry that I know so few people in [page 2] Germany. I wish she might get hold of Herr von Borosini who has lists of people. If she goes to Hanover she must be sure to see that Juv. Ct judge who had the big voice she will remember him at H. H. I can't remember his name. I hope she will use my cards whenever they will be of any use to her, and I am desolated that I can think of no one on the continent who would be use [page 3] England is quite different.

Mrs Kelley is here for two days and a help and stimulus as always.

With all wishes for a Sept. vacation

Always affectionately yours

Jane Addams.
