My dear Mrs. Perkins:-
I should like very much indeed to address your little club, but do not believe I had better try to do anything before Christmas. Perhaps you will call me up or write me after that, and see if we can fix upon a time. I will confess that the promise of seeing the baby draws rather more than the opportunity of addressing the ladies, but I shall be charmed to combine them.
