My dear [Mrs. Karsten]:

In acknowledgment of yours of April 25th, let me pray you to send me if you have [some] on hand, the full manuscript of Miss Addams' lecture on "The Next Step." We are perfectly willing to use that in preference to her condensed and short talk at Farmers' Week in Columbia. To wait until next June for her return from Europe will if I mistake not, bar and exclude the use of her important lecture in our Year Book.
