Woodrow Wilson to Jane Addams, April 26, 1919

REEL0012_0335.jpg

Paris, 26 April, 1919.

My dear Miss Addams:

I deeply appreciate the letter which you, Mrs. Balch, Mrs. Post, and other generous friends were kind enough to write me under date of yesterday about my attitude with regard to the Italian claims. It not only strengthens me, but cheers me, in a way much needed to receive such assurances from those whom I highly respect and whose support I know to mean so much.

Sincerely yours,

Woodrow Wilson [signed]

Miss Jane Addams,
Hotel Continental,
Paris.
