I am awfully disappointed not to be at H.H. when you are there. It would be nice for us if John were staying in Chicago.
I have signed my [card] like the [enclosed] and hope very much that I will be able to attend the National meeting in <Sept.>, at Minneapolis. I hope you are coming there. [page 2]
I think it has the real thing within its ranks [although] I admit that there is an admixture of motives.
I have just spent 2 days with Emily Balch at Blue Hill Inn, we each came half way as it were. She is a good thing and an upright one!
Mary & I leave here next Wednesday for Chicago, and then to a mountain [top] for [page 3] Mary's asthma. She sends her love to you!
