My dear Miss Addams: --
I hope that you will be able to stop with us when you come to New York in February. We are going to have a little meeting on Sunday evening, the 16th, to talk over politics and economic matters. I have asked Gifford, George Record, John Kingsbury and a few others.
It seems to me that we ought very soon to agree on certain matters of importance, so that we can all push them at the same time and in the same direction. Personally I have a certain amount of anxiety about the future of the party. We must stand for something fundamental and something that the people need, if we are going to have a real future at all.
