My dear Mr. Pinchot: --

I am going to New York with my friend Mrs. Bowen who has already engaged our rooms at The Belmont. I shall however hope to come to the meeting on Sunday evening the 16th. May I bring Mrs. Bowen with me to the Conference? She is a devoted Progressive and a very efficient speaker during the campaign.

I have always found that Paul Kellogg was an able young man in all industrial and social questions, and I agree with you that we must draw together such strength as we have before the storm comes.

With cordial greetings to Mrs. Pinchot and yourself, I am

Very sincerely yours,

Jane Addams [signed]

Amos Pinchot, Esq.,
New York.
