December 1, 1913.

My dear Mr. Ochs,

I wish to thank you in Miss Addams' name for your letter asking her to write an article for the Philadelphia "Public Ledger" on the subject of the Juvenile Court of Chicago.

Though Miss Addams is at present out of town, I feel assured that I can reply for her, knowing that she has very little time for writing and that for some time, having already several articles on hand, she has been unable to take on anything more. It would, I fear, be quite impossible for her to accept your [offer] for which I wish to express in advance Miss Addams' thanks and appreciation.

Very sincerely yours,

Item Relations
