My dear Miss Addams:

Referring to a letter written a few days ago concerning a place on the program for Mrs. W. I. Thomas, I regret to write that I found it utterly impossible to find a place where Mrs. Thomas could be announced. Our programs were already over crowded. Hence we did not dare add another speaker.

However, I feel sure that there will be opportunity for Mrs. Thomas to express the peace message at Chattanooga. Hence we hope that it may be possible for her to be present.

Sincerely yours,

A. P. Bourland. [signed]

Miss Jane Addams,
Room 500, 116 S. Michigan Av.,
