My dear Mr Robins

May I send my affectionate congratulations to both Miss Dreier and yourself. It is seldom in this old world that such ideal things as this engagement come to pass. It is as if the "god of things as they are" had for the moment lost his head and become the god of things as they [page 2] ought to be.

Please give my love to the dear lady and do let us keep you at Hull-House for a few halcyon days when the happy journey brings you to Chicago. Always Faithfully yours
