My dear Miss Addams:

It was with keen surprise as well as regret that the National officers noted the error in the current number of the News Letter, by which your name as Honorary First Vice President was used separately from the other Honorary Vice Presidents, and in the list of the present officers of the Association.

The National officers realize that such use of your name is contrary to your expressed, and accepted wish, and had they known that the Publicity Department -- by whom the News Letter is edited -- did not understand this, they would of course have informed them and thus prevented it.

The National officers and also the Publicity Department are very sorry that this error should have occurred, and assure you that it will not happen again.

I am,

Very truly yours,

(Mrs. Charles Forster Camp)
