If you can consistently will you wire Medill McC. and [Merriam] protesting against a 3r. County Ticket if one is put up it will merely split the vote and result in Bartzen's election if they understood your part in securing my nomination and willingness to help in my election I am inclined to think they would desist. I am convinced that it is politically [page 2] unwise for them to nominate a ticket we have all been fighting for a long time to separate county & national politics and it would be a pity <to snarl> now at this time they seem rather uncertain what to do that is my reason for appealing to you
