Your letter was forwarded to me here where I am spending a few weeks doing some writing.
I regret very much that I shall not be able to lecture for you in October. I have undertaken not to do a great deal of [page 2] speaking which would involve [traveling] about and I [shall?] have to be careful for some time. I have already taken all the engagements I can fill for next year.
