I am enclosing this letter. It does seem as if this would be a splendid opportunity for some young man to go West and be useful.
I am not going to comply with Mr. Villard's request merely on a newspaper report, but I am sending it on to you before I destroy it because you may be interested.
I think Mr. Flexner's letter may also interest you. Perhaps you saw the same exaggerated account which Miss Wald and I had read.
