Dear Miss Addams:

I am so sorry that you have the trouble of sending the checks on for endorsements!

We are all a little sad over the financial results of our Bertrand Russell meeting, which was otherwise a great success. The receipts from tickets without deducting expenses were only $940.00. There was some misunderstanding about the first report, however, a real effort is being made to collect money from outsiders, and with fair success.

Everyone is enthusiastic over the Congress program, and we have a request now for one of the Hungarian delegates. Mrs. Eugenie M. Meller in addition to the Irish and South American.

The news from Washington continues very good.

Very sincerely,

SOPHIA H. DULLES
Executive Secretary
