5 October 1922.

My Dear Mr. Thomas:

Our Russian Committee, -- the survivor of the one on this stationery, -- is anxious to have Dr. Nansen come over to speak in America. We believe it would do more than anything else to revive the interest in this country. Could the Friends Service Committee consider bringing him and could we do anything to cooperate?

I expect to be in Philadelphia at the end of the month and shall hope to see you then.

Faithfully yours,

Jane Addams. [signed]
