Miss Jane Addams --
Chicago --

As you still persist in your pernicious Anti-American activities, I will celebrate Washington's Birthday by enclosing you some HEALTHFUL reading -- "Who Shall be Deported" by M. M. M. and, unless, like the Leopard, your spots are unchangeable, you may change your lop-sided views on what "Freedom of Speech" [etc] really means under a "Constitutional Government" in this nation, where the individual rights of yourself and all others are so admirably defined and protected. I had occasion to chide you in January 1918 for your insidious and mischievous PRO-GERMAN propaganda, but you do not appear to have profited by the sensible advice I then recommended. However, I again suggest you adopt "AMERICA FIRST" as your motto for the future.
