My dear Mr. Levinson:

You were most generous to increase your subscription to Hull-House this year, and I can only assure you of our very sincere appreciation. These last [checks] which are now coming in, enable us to end our year out of debt, and we are most grateful to such old friends as yourself.

I am not permitted to live at Hull-House this Winter although I come over four times a week for office hours; I hope before many months to be back again. My illness has been a tedious matter but I am happy to see the way out at last.

With the greetings of the Season to Mrs. Levinson and yourself, I am

Faithfully yours,

Jane Addams [signed]

Salmon O. Levinson, Esq.,
Chicago, Illinois.
