My dear Miss Davis:

At the request of Miss Addams I am writing to ask if you will become a member of our [Cooperating] Council. You will see from the enclosed folder that the presidents of many of our large national women's organizations are acting on this council.

When the Woman's Peace Party was organized last year we tried to get a representative name from the Y.W.C.A., but your President, I think, was ill and the arrangement was never completed.

Hoping very much that you will permit us to use your name on our new folder which is about to be issued with the revised list of national officers, I am

Sincerely yours,

Executive Secretary.
