My dear Mr. Harvey:

As you probably know from the papers, Miss Addams was taken ill just before the Ford expedition started, and was unable to be a member of that party. She has been in the hospital most of the time since and is still unable to give her attention to her correspondence.

She has asked me to thank you for the book you sent, entitled "The Remedy". She will let you hear from her in regard to it when she has been able to read it.
