Dear Lady: --

I am sending you Miss Balch's letter. Do you think you could do something about having her see the President? She probably will land the first or second of August. If Mr. Crane would have her see Colonel House, I am sure that too would be of value.

She and Miss [Macmillan], as you know, went back to England and I suppose Madame Schwimmer did what she could in Germany. If I go to Bar Harbor it will be about the 10th of August and in that case we could have a meeting in New York, couldn't we, of the small executive committee?

I am just leaving for my Mother's house and am getting this off hurriedly.
