Dear Sister Clara,
We have done our Chaps. IV and V and they are really much improved. I have missed you sorely in the process but shall certainly hope to have your help on the proof. I have felt so sorry for Mrs Hamilton [page 2] will you please give her my love, as well as to the others.
I saw your father and mother for very little time but it was full of friendliness and good will. I am venturing to send you a pair of gloves which I can't get on because they were too small. I am always devotedly yours
