My dear Miss Wald

If you should be moved to come down here for a short sojourn this week you would find it very delightful. It is altogether Spring like and charming. Mr. Smith and myself would be equally delighted if you could induce a companion to join you and come along.

I have felt so uncomfortable about the Howells Plays [page 2] reports that I am going to [enclose] a letter to Mr Howells [and ask] you to forward it. Mrs. Smith is better and enjoying the air and change--all the letters from Mary are quite cheerful.

Please write me as early as you can in regard to the Cal. dates, we will be here until next Sat. so that I shall have little more than two weeks at home. With love to the household

Always devotedly yrs. Jane Addams
