Dear Miss Addams

I am writing to confirm my telegram to you of the 25th which read as follows:

President Butler much interested in "Trojan Women" suggestion but feels matter of this importance should be referred to Executive Committee, Carnegie Endowment, which meets with a week or so. He has asked me to prepare a definite memorandum for him to lay before Committee. Could you let me have information as to professional standing and experience of Brown and possibly some clippings as to work of Chicago Little Theater?

Your telegram in answer has just been received,

Material being prepared. Will be mailed Thursday evening. Much pleased that there is a possible acceptance of the proposition.

Thank you very much for sending the telegram and also for preparing a memorandum for me to give to Dr. Butler. I shall let you know as soon as possible the decision of the Committee.

Very truly yours

F. P. Keppel [signed]
