My dear Miss Leckie:

Miss Addams understood that Mrs. Villard was going to see you in regard to the Chairmanship of the Press Committee in the organization work of the Woman's Peace Party.

She asks me to express to you her earnest hope that you will be able to accept, and requests you to telegraph her as soon as [your] decision is made. Nothing that has developed in connection with the work has encouraged Miss Addams so much as this idea of an efficient press committee with headquarters in New York.
