August 27, 1912.
Dear
We call your attention to the enclosed call to women which contains the suffrage plank and a statement of Mr. Roosevelt's position on the matter. It will greatly strengthen the cause of the Progressives, if you include it in the state platform to be adopted at convention to be held on -----. It will also enable us to rally to our cause women who believe not only in the vote but who stand ready to work for the program of social justice in the National plank and we shall have the benefit of their wise counsel in this matter.
I trust that you will bring this matter before the convention.
Very truly yours,
Frances A. Kellor.
