Barnesville, Ohio, 8/18 1912.

My Dear Friend: --

For so one seems who has come out for a state of better government, as the platform of the new party, but permit me to say that [you] owe it to the women everywhere to investigate the character [of] your candidate as it is told by the daughter of a prominent business man that Theodore R. ROOSEVELT was under liquor in the valley of the Ohio

Yours for womans [suffrage],

Rachel Steer,.

If Roosevelt wasn't under liquor at Martin's Ferry in this month, I fear he was. The person referred to would not lie.
