My dear Miss Addams:-
I have your letter of the 1st and I am glad to know at last that your articles can appear in book form. Of course, I understand the strong reasons you must have for publishing the material serially first. I am sending you herewith an agreement in which I have left the space for the title vacant. Will you be so good as to fill it in and sign the agreement, if it is otherwise satisfactory, returning it to us when a duplicate will go at once to you?
I trust there will be no complaints with regard to the printing and binding of this book. You will recall that the complaints which you forwarded to us were of the Syracuse house. They will have nothing to do with the new book, and I shall see that it is bound by our New York binders who, as I understand, employ only union men.
