My dear Miss Addams: --

I am sure you can not know how disappointed I was not to have a wee share in the "homecoming party" given for you yesterday. You can not realize how many of us there are who have offered a prayer of thanksgiving that you are again in Chicago. It gave me a great deal of pleasure to offer the enclosed resolution to nearly seven hundred League friends who were assembled [page 2] at the Congress last Saturday for the opening meeting of the Forum. The unanimous vote of approval would have warmed your heart.

I trust it will be possible for me to really greet you soon.

Much love and admiration

Flora Sylvester Cheney
