My dear Miss Addams:

I would like four or five of your Averbuch articles very much.

The article was most interesting to me, and very illuminating as to the Russian Jewish standpoint.

I hope it will [page 2] clear up some of the misunderstanding as to the position of the settlements is the matter, but I am not sure that it will. It is so hard to change people's prejudices. Sometime I would like to talk with you about it.

I hope you are going [page 3] to have a pleasant trip to Richmond, though it is hardly in the nature of a rest.

I feel very grateful if you think that anything I have done has been of service to you or Hull House.

always affectionately yours

                        Harriet D. Smith
