Miss Jane Addams
800 S. Halsted St.
Chicago, Ill.

Dear Miss Addams,

We are enclosing herewith a letter just received at Headquarters which was written by Mr. Linn's Divisional Secretary. We [feel] sure that you and those nearest to Mr. Linn will value such a testimonial from one well able to pass judgment.

As yet we have been unable to obtain from the Equitable Trust Company, with whom Mr. Linn banked in Paris the amount of his bank balance. Just as soon as we receive this we will notify you. We have instructed the Trust Company to forward the balance to America payable to Mr. Linn's heirs.

We also hope that within a few days we will be able to ship Mr. Linn's personal effects to America. In collecting these there has also been delay owing to the constant moving of the troops in the section of the country in which Mr. Linn was serving.

Yours very truly,

PERSONNEL DIVISION.

(Signed) John [H.] Blackburn
