Mr. Crissey seemed to be 'ahead of his time' at the same age as me now at 56, where in 1921, he believed 70,000 of the over 200,000 one-room schools should be 'wiped-out'.... He knew life had to change in a time when people still weren't ready to 'get out of' the 1800's.  1800's thinking was certainly 'long gone' after World War 1.... but Americans 'hold fast' to tradition....that will never change, here in this country.
