My dear Mrs. Brownell: --

I am very sorry to know that you have been ill since your return. I hope my letter did not sound exigent. Demands are always being made for this photograph, and it seems impossible to keep them on hand.

I wish very much that you might come to Hull-House for a few days this winter. Could we not keep you quiet and comfortable and thus enable you to make the little visit?

With best wishes for a happy Christmas, I am,

Sincerely yours,

Jane Addams [signed]
