Miss Jane Addams,
800 South Halsted Street,
Chicago, Illinois.

My dear Miss Addams:

We wish to thank you for your telegram of August 14th advising us that you will represent the Food Administration on October 16th in Traverse City -- the occasion being the opening night of the Annual Convention of the Michigan State Federation of Women's Clubs. Enclosed is a copy of the letter which we have just received from the Chairman of the Program Committee.

If you will advise Mrs. [Chamberlain] of your arrival in Traverse City she will make arrangements to meet you and look after your comfort while you are in that city.

Under separate cover we are sending you a complete set of documents that have been issued by this Department to date.

With much appreciation of your courtesy, we are,

Sincerely,

U.S. FOOD ADMINISTRATION
