May 15th, 1917.

My dear Mrs. Cumberson: --

Miss Addams has asked me to write you in reference to the possibility of holding a Board meeting in New York on June 1st or June 3rd. Miss Addams, and perhaps others of the Board, will be attending a Conference on Foreign Relations of the United States, held in New York from May 28th to June 1st, and it seemed a good time, possibly, to arrange for a Board meeting, as several members of the Board may be in New York. I am writing to ask whether by any chance you would be East at this time, and whether this date would be a possible one for you.

Very sincerely yours,

Office Secretary.
