It has come this morning! in all its fair comeliness, my crowning glory -- your book. It is with a strange mingling of pride and humility that I read those dedicatory lines -- pride over the appellation of endorsement. If “pride goes before a fall” it must be a tremendous fall that could diminish [page 2] this pride which is surely largely mingled with gratitude.
I can never convey to you what knowing you has been to me, inspiration -- consolation, leading. May some consciousness of your contribution to other lives support you in all time of any need.
