My dear Mrs Blaine

The Executive Committee yesterday seemed to agree that the most useful work our committee could undertake would be that of reporting to the Laws committee and cooperating with them. We do seem idle but I hope that we can be of genuine service later. I should be very grateful for a line after you have looked into the book.  I have had some [page 2] terrible qualms since it has been issued but perhaps that is inevitable.

May I come to see you immediately upon your return and talk over our committee.

Faithfully yours

Jane Addams
