I believe this is the same Minnie Ridgeway Bishop, wife to Louis Bracket-Bishop, who in 1913-14 was looking to adopt 15 babies to start a "human zoo". Historic newspaper articles note that she "has written to her friends in Europe, asking them to find her fifteen healthy babies a year old which she wishes to adopt. The adopted family is to include Irish, German, Scandinavian, negro, Indian, Arab, Japanese, Chinese and Malay babies,, and Mrs Bishop wishes the children chosen to have the characteristics of their resepctive races well marked. She expects to find interest in studying the comparative development and character and temperament in the children".
