My dear Mrs. Benedict

Miss Addams asks me to say that she is not very clear about her Wisconsin engagement.

She knows that she is of speak at Baraboo on the <second or> third <of October> and before the Federation of Women's Clubs the eighth at Janesville. Miss Addams understands of [page 2] course that these meetings are for suffrage and have nothing to do with the Progressive Party. Is there still another engagement in connection with Baraboo, a county fair or some such things? Miss Addams thinks that Beloit was never promised but was to be worked in with Janesville if possible on the same day. [page 3]

Will you be kind enough to let her know before she leaves here on the twenty fourth if this month if this is right.

With all good wishes for the campaign

I am

Very sincerely yours

Mary R. Smith
